Assam culture: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s longest railway-road bridge, Bogibeb, in Dibrugarh, Assam on December 25. It will connect Brahmaputra river north and south coast. The bridge length is 4.94 km. According to an officer, the government is celebrating Good Governance Day on 25th December. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will give the people of the bridge to the bridge.
The foundation was laid by Deve Gowda(Assam culture)
In 1997, the Prime Minister of the United Front government, HD Deve Gowda laid the foundation of the bridge, while the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government started its construction in 2002. The total cost of the bridge was Rs. 5920 crores.

Dhamaji will join Dibrugarh

This will reduce the time required from Assam to go to Arunachal Pradesh by 10 hours. Due to the construction of the bridge, the distance between Dibrugarh-Dhemaji will be reduced from 500 km to 100 km.
