F-16 fighter aircraft do not want to buy India
According to the Indian Express newspaper report, the US had advised India to buy F-16 to avoid the ban.
India has not yet received the US from the US to buy F-16 aircraft. Actually, the F-16 has been serving Pakistani Air Force for the first three decades. In such a situation, India is not showing interest in buying F-16.
On the other side, the US says that the aircraft proposed to India is Advance Block-70 model from Block-50/52 of Pakistan. Apart from this, India has argued that F-16 fighter aircraft are not compatible with the indigenous BrahMos missile.

According to US officials, President Donald Trump is saying to make India balance on both sides. They want India to have a better deal with Russia if it wants relaxation in sanctions.
US proposes F-16 and F-18 fighter to India
The US has offered India both the F-16 and the F-18 planes, but F-16’s technology will be easy for India to give Dana Trump administration. Shortly before, India issued Request for Information (RFI) to purchase 114 fighter aircraft. In this way, America wants to put pressure on India to buy F-16 aircraft.
