Indian prisoner Hamid Nihal Ansari, who was in Pakistan jail for six years, has finally been released and is returning to India on Tuesday. After crossing the Ravi river in Pakistan, he has been brought through a prison van to the Wagah-Attari border. Soon they will return to their homeland. Pakistani officials have handed Hamid to the Indian officers.

Released on monday
Hamid was released on Monday from the Pakistani jail. Ansari’s three-year sentence was completed on Saturday. India also talked to Pakistan for the release of Hamid. Earlier, a top Pakistani court had asked the government there to complete the formalities for sending them back within a month.
Hamid Nihal Ansari is a resident of Mumbai
Since December 15, 2015, the 33-year-old Mumbai resident Ansari was locked in Peshawar Central Jail. His three-year sentence was completed on December 15, 2018, but due to lack of legal documents, he was unable to move to India. On Thursday, the Peshawar High Court asked the federal government to complete the process of sending them home within a month.
