Lok Sabha elections in up: Prior to the voting of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in UP has appealed to Muslims to vote for SP-BSP and RLD candidates. Voting is going on in eight seats in West Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. On the eve of voting, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, while addressing the Muslim voters, issued a letter that they would support their “secular parties” if they go to vote. This appeal is being considered against BJP and its allies.
This appeal of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has also been burnt. BJP’s Sanjeev Bialan said that organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami Hind are demanding votes in the name of religion. These people should be banned then. Sanjeev Bialan is the BJP candidate from Muzaffarnagar seat, where RLD chief Ajit Singh is in the fray.
“We have appealed to all Muslims to vote for secular parties,” Mohammad Nayeem, the president of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind unit, told the Times of India. Because in UP, because of the alliance of SP and BSP, we are appearing in strong positions, so we have appealed to support their candidates here. ” Naeem said that apart from the SP-BSP, the Congress is also strong in many seats and we have also appealed to them to vote at such places.
