Earlier, five jawans, including Major of 55 Rashtriya Rifles, were martyred in the encounter lasting late in the morning till Monday morning. A common citizen died during the encounter. The martyrs were Major DS Dondial, Head Constable Sevaram, Sep Guljar Ahmad, Sep Ajay Kumar and Sep Hari Singh. All the martyrs were from 55 Rashtriya Rifles.
