Sensex Today: With the sharp rise on the first day of the business week, the stock market has achieved a new peak. On Monday, the Sensex crossed the level of 39 thousand for the first time. The 30-share Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 185.97 points, to 38,858.88 points, while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty opened at 416 points higher at 11,665.20.
Investors are excited by the Reserve Bank’s decision to cut interest rates to boost economic activities. Positive foreign signals and domestic currency, firmly supported the market and are seen to be very bullish. When the Sensex reached at 39,000 level with a rally of 335 points at around 10:18 am, the Nifty was trading at around 11,700 in record high. Let’s say, on August 9, 2018, the Sensex crossed 38,000 for the first time.
