Swachh Sarvekshan Award 2019: Indore has once again become the cleanest city in the country and with this it has developed a hatchery of cleanliness. List of the most clean cities of the country was released on Wednesday in a special program held in Rashtrapati Bhavan. In this list, Ambattur is in Chhattisgarh on second place after Indore. Karnataka’s Mysore got third place. At the fourth place where Ujjain is, the capital is named after Delhi on the fifth.
There are 6 cities in Madhya Pradesh list of 20 cities list. In this list, Bhopal has come back once more. Talking about other categories, Ahmedabad’s name is at number one in cities having population of more than 10 lakhs, while Raipur’s name is at number one in the fastest growing city list.
President, Ramnath Kovind, presented ‘Swachh Sarvekshan Award 2019 in a program here on Wednesday. The New Delhi Municipality Council area was declared ‘the cleanest city’. Gauchar of Uttarakhand was declared ‘Best City of Ganges’. The Ministry of Civil Housing and Urban Affairs offers these awards. Congratulating Indore, Union Home Minister Hardeep Puri said, “Excellent! For the third consecutive year, Indore became India’s cleanest city. Congratulations to cleaners of Indore for their unmatched dedication and participation in creating mass movement for clean India.
A survey conducted in 4237 cities
This time, the urban development ministry conducted cleanliness survey in 4237 cities of the country. The selection of top-10 cities in such cities has also been a big challenge for the ministry. Survey was 5000 points in which Indore received the highest number of marks. The survey process was completed on January 31, 2019. It consumed 64 million people and added 40 million people through social media. These boxes can be removed.
