Kartarpur Corridor news: For Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib, the top officials of the Home Ministry of India and Pakistan will meet in the attari on Thursday in connection with the Corridor being prepared in Dera Baba Nanak-Kartarpur. For this, the two countries have reached the Wagah border. The meeting will include secretary level officers of both the countries. In this regard, the work will be reviewed in both the countries so far in this regard.
The Pakistani delegation reached Amritsar on Wednesday evening regarding the agreement to go to open Kartarpur Sahib Galiara . Haider Shah, deputy high commissioner of Pakistan, at Raja Sansi International Airport, Amritsar, described this decision as Pakistan’s initiative. He said that we want to open Kartarpur corridor so that people of the Sikh community can get an opportunity to come to Pakistan.
First meeting of the two countries on the Kartarpur Corridor
In November, India and Pakistan laid the foundation for the construction of this corridor in their respective areas. Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal (DG South Asia and SAARC) also urged the Indian High Commission to send the Indian team to Pakistan on March 28 for further discussion on this corridor.
Pakistan said: aims to facilitate visa free travel
Prior to the meeting of the two countries on this issue, Pakistan sent a 59 page document to India. In this, 14 recommendations have been made from him. Pakistan has said that the main objective of the corridor is to provide visa free travel facility to pilgrims in Kartarpur. For this both sides (India and Pakistan) should be active. If India agrees with these recommendations then this agreement will be implemented.

- Have valid passports, relevant security clearance documents.
- India will have to inform the arrival of pilgrims three days in advance.
- The permit will be issued only for the visit of Kartarpur.
- More than 500 pilgrims do not get permit in a day.
- The corridor will be open from 8 am to 5 pm.
